A wedding at the Las Vegas Mandarin Oriental encompasses beauty, luxury and glamour.  Melissa & Eddie played off these elements and infused each of them into their Las Vegas Mandarin Oriental wedding last June.  Melissa incorporated her heritage and culture from Singapore with Eddie’s Texas roots.  She was a beauty in a gorgeous gown and surrounded by her best girl friends.  Eddie was ever the gentleman in his military uniform.  The ballroom ceremony was set in dim light with candles surrounding the perimeter of a circular seating plan.  A round platform stage for Melissa, Eddie and their officiant, Father John was the center point.  As the ballroom doors opened for the processional to begin, a Military Honor Guard marched inside to create a grand entrance for the bridal party, family and of course our bride!  A military wedding in Las Vegas is certainly a special occasion and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be involved.
During cocktail hour the gold sequin photo backdrop was packed with friends and family as they smiled and giggled for the camera.  The dinner reception overlooked the Las Vegas Strip.  Melissa & Eddie accented their wedding with touches of Vegas flair.  Pennies to hit the Downtown slots and a CD featuring the songs played at their wedding (by a live 80’s cover band, no less).  Make sure to check out the cake cutting.  There’s a saber sword involved.  And see if you recognize that cake topper by going here.  Melissa & Eddie’s guests were treated to a special wish lantern ceremony on the Mandarin Oriental pool deck.  Their guests book was a guest fingerprint piece.  Guests’ prints represented the lanterns that lifted into the Las Vegas skyline.  Perfect art piece for the home!
