Art Deco Wedding Inspiration

Hollywood award season is a series of Sunday nights we love and look forward to!  The fashion, show production, beauty styling and details provide great inspiration for weddings.  Art deco weddings are increasingly popular and the Oscar Red Carpet did not disappoint in the ladies’ fashion department.  Many startles were seen sporting the linear pattern and soft curvature associated with this style.  Most often this was found in a glittering mix of metallic gold, silver, copper and bronze.  Check out these style to provide some inspiration for your art deco wedding!

We have been loving the influence of the Great Gatsby-esque inspired style on fashion and looking forward to translating more of it into weddings.  Keep an eye out for a Scheme spin on this style coming soon!

Scheme Las Vegas Wedding: Veil at Silverton with Amber and Sam

Amber and Sam have one amazing story and we wish we could have spent more than a year planning this awesome reception with them. Amber and Sam (aka. Samber) are Seattle natives and moved to Las Vegas a few years ago. Throughout this Las Vegas wedding planning process, Amber was working towards her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health, graduated the day before her reception and really had a lot to celebrate with a brand new Masters degree, a new job waiting for her amazing new husband, Sam. Chelsy Cardin of Cardin Creative snapped some awesome engagement images for them also!

Tara and Traci first met this couple at one of our favorite downtown locations, the Downtown Cocktail Room. We instantly knew that this was a truly special couple, madly in love with each other and wanted a truly unique experience for their guests. Samber tied the knot a few weeks prior (November 27th, 2012 to be exact) in beautiful Mexico with close friends and family. Arriving back in Las Vegas a few weeks later they held their reception and awesome party for all their friends and family.

Without further adieu…

Yes, that is Sam on a scooter. He broke his foot a week after they tied the knot in Mexico running into the ocean. He rocked that scooter and cast better than anyone we have ever seen!

This cake was pure art. Amber wanted blown sugar that looked similar to a Chihuly glass art piece. This very well could have something to do with her Seattle roots. Dane did a fabulous job with this cake.

Thank you so much Amber & Sam for having Scheme help you in the planning process and be a part of your special day!

Springs Preserve Wedding: Gina & Jonathan

A Las Vegas wedding at Springs Preserve may be one of our very favorite kinds of events.  Remember this past wedding at Springs Preserve here and look for one coming soon being featured on Vegas Style Weddings.

Gina & Jonathan had a gorgeous morning Springs Preserve wedding followed by a delicious brunch last November.  Jonathan is in the military and we love the personalization and class those dress blues add (even if the pants were left at home the morning of the wedding and we had to start the ceremony a few minutes late!).

Gina’s two daughters were thrilled to be in the wedding and looked darling all dressed up.

This family takes their morning pastries seriously.  Dunkin Donut centerpieces were a huge hit with the guests!

Brunch consisted of pastries, a waffle bar, omelet station, fresh fruit and more.  Yum yum yum!

Gina & Jonathan left in a grand exit with streamers and a hot rod vehicle to sweep them away for a honeymoon!

Gina & Jonathan are one of those kind and sincere couples everyone wants to be friends with.  Their wedding was about fun, personalized family traditions that are meaningful to them.   It was about being able to spend time with guests and celebrate with friends and family.  The brunch setting created an atmosphere of a fun gathering with your best friends, a perfect fit for this couple!  Gina & Jonathan, we wish you and the girls all the very best!!
