Ok…so number one not a dress, but these Sequin Harem Pants from J. Crew could make even a plain white t-shirt look festive!

Happy New Year!

Scheme Wedding: Natalie and Brett

The Proposal

Brett’s grandfather passed away in 2003 and his ashes were spread atop the Castle Rocks at the base of the Big Horn Mountains in Buffalo, Wyoming. Brett’s grandfather was his favorite person in the world and when he passed away Brett was heart broken. Brett asked Natalie to accompany him to the top of the Castle Rocks to visit that special spot, as he had never been there before.

The top of the mountain was breathtaking. While standing at the end of a cliff, Brett and Natalie embraced and enjoyed the scenery. Right in that magical moment Brett began to explain how much he loved Natalie and that he wanted to spend his life with her. It was not until he was on his knee with ring in hand that she understood what was happening. The tears of joy were welling upon both of their cheeks. She answered “Of course” and Brett immediately began taking pictures. The next hour and a half were spent living in that same moment of bliss. Their lives were never the same!

Natalie and Brett said their “First Look” photo session was the best decision they made. They loved taking pictures and hanging out before the wedding. It provided a special time for just the two of them.

Natalie and Brett exchanged their vows at the gorgeous Woodriver Cellars Winery in Boise, Idaho on June 3, 2010. The wedding party surprised the guests by dancing down the aisle just before Natalie busted a move with both her father and step father. Their ceremony was romantic and true to Natalie and Brett’s fun and loving relationship.

Their reception followed in the beautiful white tent on the grounds of the winery. It was full of laughter and good times. Natalie and Brett participated in many wedding traditions, but wanted to start their own within their families. Natalie’s brother, Richie, wrote a song for their first dance and performed it with his mother at the reception. It gave Natalie and Brett’s first dance a whole new meaning. Natalie also started a new tradition within her family by presenting her bouquet to the woman most important in her life, her mother. Natalie gave a touching speech about their relationship and how grateful she was to have an amazing role model as a mother. Natalie and Brett’s wedding reception was everything they hoped for and Scheme Events is grateful to have been a part of it.

Congratulations, Natalie and Brett.
